Exploring Energy Production

This project aimed to demonstrate statistics in an engaging way moving from the big picture to the more local story. I chose to look at statistics related to energy production, moving from the global scale down to North Carolina. With several power plants across the state, North Carolina’s power production is an interesting landscape.

Throughout development, this video gave me not only the opportunity to work in a video format but also to dive into research and writing as I explored the narrative I wanted to illustrate. I chose a neutral background and muted color palette to help make the information more digestible, and minimize distractions from the narrative.
