A cupcake by any other name…

This project focuses on an exploration of semantics, using discourse and stereotypes around cupcakes as the framework. Different contexts and understandings influence our perspective on everything, so in order to explore the idea of varied semantic meanings, I narrowed my scope to the world of cupcakes, differentiating between professional bakery cupcakes and homemade ones.

As I explored this concept, I was able to dive into the world of motion as well as illustration. These tools helped me to engage with narrative building and story telling, and have some fun with animating my drawings.
